Foundation for our knowledge base
At SKIM, we are always looking for ways to improve our research tools and to deepen our knowledge. Paul Janssen, from our US office, laid the foundation for a great knowledge base on development and testing of claims. Thanks to his work, we can give solid advice on the optimal wording and structure of the claims even before they are tested.
Meet our expert Paul Janssen
Operating in one of the most competitive markets in the world, Paul has learned what works and what does not work when it comes to claims. Paul is frequently consulted to get his input into claims and communication strategies, asked to participate in claim generation sessions and deliver training workshops on effective claims.
Further development with Erasmus University Rotterdam
Iris Versluis, who has worked in our SKIM Consumer Research team for 5 years, started working on a dissertation thesis about how to best test claims with consumers, together with promoter Prof. Philip Hans Franses (Dean of the Erasmus School of Economics). In this research she aims to critically examine the different claims testing techniques available.
SKIM and Iris will continue to keep in touch and exchange knowledge on claims and communication developments, both from the academic as well as from the business fields.
