Customized methodological trainings

SKIM's training courses cover the basics and advanced applications of conjoint methods, conjoint related topics, and software tools.

We distinguish two major types of training:
- trainings for practitioners: market researchers who have to design and analyse conjoint analysis studies
- trainings for commissioners: those who outsource research and want to know when to use which methodology and how to avoid quality lapses

In order to meet the specific needs for your field of interest, SKIM organizes customized training courses. Whether you are a novice or advanced user, a practitioner or have to interpret the results, we can always mould the training to your needs.

Practical exercises and case studies illustrate the material presented. Participants receive printed versions of the session's teaching materials

In addition to our customized in-company trainings we organise the annual SKIM conference, to share knowledge on methodologies and applications

Trainings for Commissioners
- Applied Conjoint Analysis: When can it be used and what can I gain?
- Market simulations: How to simulate and interpret simulations.

Trainings for practitioners
SKIMs trainings for practitioners are characterised by a unique blend of interaction and a practical approach. The theoretical foundations will be applied to your specific case.

- Basic Conjoint Measurement
- Conjoint Analysis and Market Simulations
- Advanced Conjoint: Applications and Considerations
- Adaptive Conjoint Analysis (ACA)
- MaxDiff
- Latent Class
- Composite Product Mapping

Basic Conjoint Measurement
This training covers the basics of conjoint theory and is designed to teach participants how to choose the appropriate conjoint method, how to set up a study, and how to perform analysis of your data.

Target group for this training: Market Researchers who are new to conjoint analysis and who have to apply this methodology themselves

Topics covered:
- Introduction to conjoint analysis
- Planning a conjoint study
- Choice-based Conjoint

Conjoint Analysis and Market Simulations
The aim of this training is to help participants to better understand complex issues of conjoint analysis, how to get most of your conjoint study and how to avoid errors. It is assumed that participants already have basic knowledge of conjoint techniques.
Target group for this training: Market researchers who are responsible for analysis and presentation of conjoint results.

Topics covered
- Utilities and importances
- Advanced simulations
- Hierarchical Bayes

Advanced Conjoint: Applications and Considerations
Advanced conjoint users are encouraged to take their knowledge to the next level. This training will help practitioners to deal with more complex designs, giving them more flexibility to solve multiple types of research problems with conjoint analysis.

Target group for this training: market researchers who are experienced with conjoint analysis, who want to improve their conjoint design skills.

Topics covered
- Conditional pricing
- Alternative specific designs
- Partial profile designs

Adaptive Conjoint Analysis (ACA) training
ACA is a conjoint technique that focusses on the respondents´ key drivers by adapting the experiment focus to previous respondent answers. This training will help practitioners to select and apply this method succesfully.

MaxDiff training
This training will help educate practitioners about the practical use of MaxDiff. This training can be integrated in a conjoint training, or combined with other methodological trainings.

Latent Class training
This training will help educate practitioners about the practical use of Latent Class. This training can be integrated in a conjoint training, or combined with other methodological trainings.

Composite product mapping
This training will help educate practitioners about the practical use of Composite Product Mapping. This training can be integrated in a conjoint training, or combined with other methodological trainings.
