A fresh twist on the global cliché

"Diversity. Globalization. Multicultural work environment." These words were planted as the roots of global companies that rightfully flourished, but nowadays they sound like the mission and philosophy of every company, big and small, on either side of the Atlantic and Pacific. Every company wants a global team, a global manager; words that have now become commonplace clichés and have lost their essence. Has diversity become the new buzz word? Well, not at SKIM.

Diversity at SKIM

SKIM incorporates diversity on multiple levels, so much so that it has become intrinsic to our DNA. Firstly, our team exists of a little over 80 professionals with many different backgrounds, varying from statistics to marketing and from psychology to bio-medical sciences. Secondly, we offer market research and consultative services to top notch companies in consumer products, healthcare, consumer health, durables, finance and telecommunications. Together these put diversity at the epitome of our existence.

Yet there is more. What truly makes us diverse is the fact that this team - spread out over our offices in Rotterdam, New York, London and Geneva - covers over 20 different nationalities, of which over 50% are from the non-cultural home office base.

The challenge of multicultural teams

The finest testament of having diversity as a crux of a company's culture is the effect on the employees.
